Confessions of
a web-master, the birth of StockSkill.net
Improving with age...
Like a fine wine.
http://www.stockskill.net
-NorthPoint's
secretary busy at work-
--------------
EVEN - I have no
wish to converse with you. I will however state for those that do not
know:
* I own 67,500 shares of NorthPoint, cost average .48 cents.
* I bought prior to the bankruptcy.
* I was mad as hell at
the BK filing that killed the equity value that financially HURT me
bigtime.
* I averaged down after the trading halt was lifted, and
believed the auction to find a financer would be fruitful. - wrong
* When AT&T bought the hardware for ONE penny on the dollar
and left all the 100,000+ paying consumers hung out to dry I was madder
than Hell.
* NPNTQ price fell to 2 cents and I lurked on this
board, Now even madder as TECHSTAR said his Christian pumping site WAS
mysteriously missing and it was beyond his power to retrieve it.
*
I had found solstice in reading the list of shareholders who had declared
their shares on his site. I was the 6th to declare my 9,600 shares there.
* I kept realizing all the fine DD on the board was being lost in
the hay stack.
* WOZ posted (#24174) a new shareholder list on
November 19, 2001, I made a web-page of it. Thought up a web-site name and
"put-up" the shareholder list for all to see.
* Anne_elk later
made a post with links to many news-stories regarding NorthPoint's plight.
I made that the first "front page" of STOCKSkill.net
* A
shareholder in San Fran went to the courthouse and obtained a copy on the
"Complaint". He then had a copy place FAX it to WOZ. I asked him to e-mail
it to me.
* I spent countless days scanning and converting it to
text. This process was only 85% effective, the other 15% required
painstaking proofreading and hand repair.
* I wasn't satisfied
with a plain document, I wanted individual pages and outline formatting -
an HTML challenge to say the least - especially to get similar results
with Netscape and Explorer.
* I completed the amended-complaint an
9/4/01
* Wewillsurelywin e-mailed me asking for help on the
declarations because he was in the military and the terrorists needed
taking care of.
* No one pays me a nickel.
* I've spent
thousands of "free" hours developing and maintaining to the site.
* I wanted a professional - non-Verizon bashing web-site that
would become THE repository for all pertinent information regarding what I
feel was Verizon's illegal termination of a binding contract,
* I
am working my investment.
* I am Verizon's worst Nightmare - a
disgruntled NorthPoint investor.
* I didn't not create this site
to pump this stock to newcomers but rather to support all the existing
shareholders (ex-employee's included) who were financially hurt by
Verizon's actions - especially myself!
* It is our legal right to
average down so as to reach the profitable "break-EVEN" point sooner.
WITHOUT this Boards members stockSkill.net would only be a
shadow of how it stands today - I thank all who have contributed! - (May
all of our efforts not be in vein.)
I would like to expressly
thank...
My fellow shareholders: who have stuck together through
all this painful time and who have worked together for the good of ALL.
LIZ Fretter: for her timely filing of this action against Verizon
for their wrong-doing and for her hiring of FLK.
FLK: who has
proven to be masterful in preparing NorthPoint's complaint and their
litigation of the case thus far.
Judge Carlson: for appointing
Lynn Schoenmann as NorthPoint's U.S. Trustee and the foresight to hold an
auction to fund NorthPoint court battle against the behemoth Verizon.
NorthPoint's Trustee Lynn Schoenmann: for taking CHARGE of this
matter and working tirelessly for NorthPoint's Estate, for being a ROCK
for all to lean on!
And to
Terry McGovern: for seeing to
it that we shareholders have a forum to trade our equity (and hence the
ability to average down) after NorthPoint was forced to convert from
chapter 11 to chapter 7.
We Will persevere. We Shall Overcome
